It's been so wild hearing all the different angles from which people are seeing fit to lionize him today! Not that I wasn't expecting it, but wow. And yes, the whole politics of civility thing. Sure, he manufactured a war and allowed countless Americans to die through neglect, but you know. He was well-spoken, so I guess that's what counts.
