breathedout...when you do the Work Thing you've been dreading and even though it goes about as well as it possibly could have it is still pretty much exactly as draining and emotionally uncomfortable as you expected; and also it's really just the first (public) installment in an ongoing conversation that will continue to be draining and emotionally uncomfortable; and it also opens the floodgates of draining and uncomfortable one-on-one conversations which your coworkers will seek you out in order to have...
... is it "relief"?
I think, if relief is what you get after things where you can accurately tell yourself "Well, this is going to suck, but I'll do it and then it'll be over," then this is maybe like, relief's down-at-heel older cousin, who occasionally shows up to family functions, shoves dinner rolls in his bag, and passes out on the couch.
Speaking of which, I would like to pass out on a couch.
