I'd love to see more data on shifting queer demographics, too! Sadly there's not a huge amount more of that to be found in this particular book; its focus is much more anecdotal/qualitative than statistical/quantitative, and the way it handles the statistics it does use is honestly... not super satisfying. (For example, although the extremely high cost of living in big coastal cities is a major point of contention for Allen, she doesn't really dive into how extreme that shift has been statistically over the past 20+ years.) Although, as with this passage, what she does include is sometimes enough to spark interest in more.
